About Okaukuejo Resort
Situated just 17 km inside the southern Andersson Gate entrance of Etosha National Park, Okaukuejo is the oldest and largest rest camp in the park, functioning as its administrative headquarters.
Okaukuejo is world-renowned for its floodlit waterhole, situated right on the border of the camp behind a protective stone wall. Here, visitors can comfortably sit and watch an incredible procession of wildlife—including black rhinos, lion prides, large elephant herds, and giraffes—congregating and interacting throughout the day and well into the night.
The camp offers a wide range of accommodation choices catering to every preference and budget, from luxury Premier Waterhole Chalets overlooking the waterhole to comfortable double rooms, family units, and spacious shaded camping sites.
